Sam Williams and Britt Palmedo captured the top-flight men's and women's championships when Sun Valley Golf Club completed its 36-hole club championships Sunday.
Williams (82-74 for 156-154) was the Men's Championship Flight gross stroke winner by four strokes. Other gross flight winners were Jeff Joyner and Walter Littenberg (78-77 for 155-149). Net champions were Charlie Evans, Glenn Thomas, Ron Runge and Gwen Raney.
There were 37 players on a beautiful weekend in Sun Valley. Prize money ranged up to $160 for first gross and first net winners, and from $60 to $100 for second net. Closest to the pin winners were Glenn Thomas and Gwen Raney. Results:

Seniors enjoy fine weather for Valley Club finals
Warm Indian Summer weather greeted 39 golfers in The Valley Club's Senior (55-and-over) and Super Senior (70-and-over) Championships for men and women Thursday and Friday, Sept. 17-18.
Paul Willis and Sue Woodyard emerged as the gross stroke winners in the Senior Division, while Richard Shelton and Kim Marcus led the Super Seniors. Net winners were Jay Cassell, Jim Britt, William Hill, Kristen O'Reilly and Bev Jaeger.
Format was 36 holes of stroke play with net and gross prizes. Willis earned his title after a five-hole sudden-death playoff with Dorinson. Further results by division:
