Bigwood Open brings out 37 golfers

Club champions are crowned

Thirty-seven players took part in the Bigwood Open Golf Tournament Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13 at Bigwood Golf Course at Thunder Spring. Format was 36-hole stroke play with $1,480 at stake, $520 in each men's flight and $440 women.

Gross winners by flight were Shawn Aicher, Gene Korby and Renie Alverson. Taking the top net prizes were Kenny Ward, Francis Gilbo and Jennie Williams. Here are the scores of the 37 contestants:

Men's 1st Flight—Gross: 1—Shawn Aicher 74-72 for 146-146. 2—Shaun Murray 73-75 for 148-144. Net: 1—Kenny Ward 82-78 for 160-142. 2—Noah Loyd 74-75 for 149-143.
