Bart Workman

Bart Workman, 40, passed away suddenly on Aug. 31, 2009.

Bart was born Feb. 16, 1969, in Murray, Utah, to Barbara and Don Workman. He worked in mining in various states and construction in the Wood River Valley for Katco and S. Erwin Excavation. Bart was a gentleman who unconditionally loved. He had a spirit that enabled him to reach out to everyone who needed help, even those who had hurt him in the past.

He is survived by his parents, Donald Workman and Barbara Wilson (Tim) of Richfield; his older siblings, Diane Workman, of Utah, and Jeff Workman, of Oregon; his twin brother, Art Workman, of Richfield; the mother of his sons, Kathy Workman, of Bellevue; his sons, Gary Workman, stationed in Iraq, and Casey Workman, of Bellevue; and his stepchildren, J.W., Mary Sue and Dalton McDowell, of Spring Creek, Nev., and Breanna and Crystalyn Gillard, of Bellevue. As well, several nieces and nephews will greatly miss their Uncle Bart.

Bart had 48 children pass through his home as a foster parent and Bart was adored by everyone who knew him in Idaho, Nevada and California. The world will feel a great loss but Bart made such an impact on all of those children that his heart will survive long after his physical self has left this world.

Bart's services will be held at the Richfield Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been set up at US Bank for the Workman children.
