Celebrate Wagon Days with church

Our Lady of the Snows offers food, parking

By EXPRESS STAFF

Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Sun Valley will offer food and facilities for people planning to watch the Wagon Days Big Hitch Parade on Saturday afternoon.

The church's Teen Mission group will offer $5 lunches starting at 11 a.m. In addition, the church will offer limited parking, limited seating along the parade route, restrooms, ice cream and cotton candy. Donations for parking and seating will be accepted.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the teen group's 2010 mission trip to assist people in need in the United States. In June, the group went to Mena, Ark., to help with disaster relief following a tornado that destroyed 680 houses.

On Sunday, the teens will help serve the annual Wagon Days pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Papoose Club. The breakfast to benefit youth activities in the valley will be served Saturday and Sunday in Ketchum. (See the calendar on Page 22 for details.)

The parade starts at 1 p.m. The church is located on Sun Valley Road just east of downtown Ketchum.
