Police solve Hailey car burglaries

By TERRY SMITH
Express Staff Writer

Hailey police reported Monday that they've solved six car burglaries that occurred last week in the Woodside area in the southeast part of the city.

"We know who did it, we've just got to get ahold of them," said Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter, adding that the suspects are both juveniles.

"One lives in this area and the other lives outside the area," Gunter said.

The burglaries occurred on the evening of Monday, Aug. 10. Gunter said all six vehicles had been left unlocked, some with purses left inside. He described the thefts as "opportunistic burglaries."

Items stolen included cash and iPods. Gunter said some of the stolen items have been recovered.
