Eleven SV5B/YMCA swimmers coached by Brian Gallagher clocked impressive times at the July 31-Aug. 1 Summer Championships in Boise. Many made it to the finals and several achieved record times.
The recent meet marked the end of the Long Course season and the beginning of the Short Course season. High school swimmers are practicing daily in anticipation of the fall season starting in September.
Kaedi Fry led the way with three individual first-place finishes while Lena Friesen captured one gold. Second- and third-place swimmers included Michael Coiner and Friesen.
