Blaine County resident Gregory Cordovano remained in critical condition Tuesday, 11 days after he was injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident near his home in the Deer Creek Road area in mid valley.

Cordovano, 63, remained a patient at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he was taken by emergency helicopter after the accident on state Highway 75 on Friday, July 31. He suffered a severe head injury.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office still listed the cause of the accident as unknown on Monday and could not confirm reports from friends of Cordovano that he collided with a deer.

The sheriff's office report states that a motorcycle slid for 148 feet along the highway after it went out of control. Cordovano was found 24 feet from the motorcycle.

The report said there were no tire skid marks.
