Southern Idaho motorcyclists will converge on the city of Hailey Saturday afternoon in a show of support for Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, reportedly held captive by Taliban militants in Afghanistan for the past month.
A candlelight vigil for Bergdahl drew more than 500 people to Hop Porter Park in Hailey in July. The location of the soldier is still unknown.
"Bowe and his family have been in our hearts and prayers since he was captured. We want to show support for him, and we want others to do the same," said Casey Jackman, spokesman for the Pocatello POW/MIA Awareness Rally Association, which is organizing the event.
Jackman expects 200 to 500 bikers to turn out for the event, which will gather riders from around the region at the Flying J Truck Stop in Twin Falls until 11:30 a.m. before departing as a group for Hailey. The bikers expect to arrive in Hailey at 1:30 p.m.
All motorcyclists, motorcycle clubs, riding organizations, motorcycle ministries and nomad (solo) riders are invited to join the rally.

Wood River Fire & Rescue Firefighters' Association will host a barbecue for the riders and the public at Zaney's Coffee House in Hailey Saturday from 1 p.m. onwards.
Proceeds raised at the barbecue benefit the firefighters' association, which provides financial assistance to community members in times of need and training support to local firefighters. Funds are also earmarked for efforts of the Bring Bowe Home campaign.
