YMCA Golf Classic a big success

Saturday fundraiser


Over 300 guests gathered to support the Wood River Community YMCA's 2009 Annual Golf Classic and Dinner Social on Saturday, Aug. 1.

YMCA officials said over $500,000 was raised to support the Ketchum facility and its programs. Auction lots included a chance to meet actor and Sun Valley resident Clint Eastwood at his next movie premiere and trips to foreign countries. Golf results from Sun Valley Golf Course were:

1st place (115, 29 under par): Michael Owens (even par), Britt Palmedo, Peter Palmedo and Suzanne Williams.

2nd place (117, 27 under): James Okland, Jill Scott, Brent Hansen and Dane Hansen.

3rd place (125, 19 under): David Lipman, John B. Heinrich, Ryan Reilly and Craig Hildebrand.

4th place (126): Kathy Jones, Bill Bohrer, Alex Orb and Fred Stolle.

5th place (tie 127): Shaun Aicher, Brian Cincotta, Kevin Cincotta and Rich Fabiano; and Kingsley Croul, Page Jenner, Wendy Pesky and Gary Philbrick.

7th place (130): Bruce Kaplan, Lynn Kaplan, Bill Swaney and Nancy Swaney.

8th place (131): Whit Atkinson, David Hennessy, Kevin Carey and Curtis Uhrig.

9th place (133): Jim Daniels, Blair Hull, Tom Lenze and Steve Severn.

10th place (134): Dick Fenton, Georgie Fenton, Gail Thornton and Phil Silver.

11th place (137): John Bailey, Sam Bailey, Tim Carter and Keith Davis.

12th place (142): Neil Morrow, Baird Gourlay, Sheila Witmer and Julio Chavez.

13th place Youth Team (143): Ethan Kjesbo, Chance McCroskey, Stephen Pfeiffer and Ty Reinemann.

14th place (tie 149): Mort Fuller, Sue Fuller, Phil Ringo and Sue Ringo; and Diana Frazier, Dennis Kavanagh, Bill Shubin and Sharon Shubin.

16th place: Earl Cohen, Drew Gibson, Mathew Vanderkloot and Barbara Vanderkloot.

Closest to the pin: Jim Daniels, Georgie Fenton, Tim Carter and Phil Silver.

Long drive: Ryan Reilly and Suzanne Williams.
