Barry Peterson Jewelers in Ketchum is presenting a two-day trunk show and wine tasting event for world famous jewelry designer John Hardy. Hardy lives in Bali and is one of the island's largest employers. All the jewelry is hand crafted and the fall collection was designed with the environment in mind. The benefit program is called "Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo" and proceeds from the sale of each piece will go toward replenishing bamboo forests. Wine from Frenchman's Gulch Winery will be served along with hors d'oeuvres from East Avenue Bistro. The sale will take place today from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday, July 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Barry Peterson Jewelers was one of the first John Hardy dealers in the Northwest and has carried the line for more than 20 years. Peterson said John Hardy jewelry is easy to wear, has a casual look and works well with the valley lifestyle.
