Judith Ann “Judi” Dussell

Judith Ann "Judi" Dussell, age 68, a resident of Hailey, Idaho, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 4, 2009, in Huntington Beach, Calif., where she was flown to be with her children and grandchildren.

Judi was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Pasadena, Calif., to Hubert and Maryellen McCormick. In 1958, she married Gordon Clarence Dussell, her loving husband who passed away in October 2008. She raised her three children in Huntington Beach and began her career as a childcare provider of 30 years. When she relocated to Hailey in 1991, she made an everlasting impression on the hearts of so many children and parents. She was a creative, caring person, always teaching others. The times she treasured the most were camping, traveling with friends and family, and picnics among the beautiful mountains and streams.

Judi was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May 2008 and fought for her life until she passed. She is survived by her loving sister, Carol Marter, and three children, David (Gina), Karen Sundy (Marty) and Susan Fourmont (Matt). She also left behind four beautiful grandchildren, Bradley and Adam Dussell and Christopher and Cara Fourmont. Her brother, Dick McCormick, predeceased her in January 2009.

Judi touched the lives of many people and we will miss her forever. A memorial service will be held at Judi's home, 551 Motherload Loop in Hailey on Friday, Aug. 7 at 3 p.m.
