Not ready to go along

After reading the "Our View" editorial in the June 3 issue, I need to respond. While everyone will agree with the statement in the last paragraph, that real patriotism is on display 24/7 as our troops fight in Iraq and Afghanistan (and protect us in countless other locations at home and abroad), the balance of the editorial is nothing more than liberal dogma.

The bottom-line message is that we should all capitulate to the Obamanation (abomination) happening in the United States and just learn to get along while accepting the destruction of capitalism and the private sector, massive government expansion, excessively high taxes, wealth redistribution and deficit spending that will jeopardize the financial futures of our children and grandchildren, along with the general trend toward socialism.

If resistance to the aforementioned socialist ideas is a 'form of treason,' as quoted in the editorial from economist Paul Krugman, so be it. When I agree to support any of these concepts, it will be a cold day in Hell!
