Looking for a free, fun evening for the entire family? Gather everyone and head into Hailey to enjoy the second annual Night of Music, an assembly of more than a dozen performers throughout the city Monday, July 13, from 4-9:30 p.m.
Bands and musicians will play at restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and stores throughout central Hailey. Last year's event on the same second Monday in July drew more than 1,000 people to city streets and businesses.
"It's going to be a rocking good time for about six or seven blocks on Main Street," said Hailey Arts Commissioner Mark Johnstone. "There will even be a few other bands filling in places, too."
Johnstone said that even though there are fewer bands booked than last year, he has taken more calls asking about the event.

"It's a Hailey evening, so bring the whole family," Johnstone said. "It's not just for adults. Other businesses will be open late as well."
In trying to create a Boise-like atmosphere—such as Boise's First Thursdays events—more than 20 businesses will be open with art on display. July is "A Month of Art" in Hailey and art has been installed in a myriad of locations all around the city. An evening Art Walk will take place on Friday, July 17, from 5-8 p.m.
"We are going to keep doing it," Johnstone said. "The mayor and the City Council are so behind the Night of Music they are cutting meetings short on July 13."
The event is sponsored by the Hailey Chamber of Commerce and the Hailey Arts Commission, and produced in association with Figgleaf Productions.
