Principal Recruiting/Group Six 8, Firefighters 7

Principal made it a clean sweep for its doubleheader evening as Tom Moreland (3 hits, 2 HR, 4 RBI) cracked a one-out walk-off HR in the seventh to finish Principal's rally from a 7-3 deficit. The Group 6 defense held Firefighters scoreless for the last three stanzas. Principal: Geoff Gardner 2 runs, Jim Carlson 2-run HR, Kevin Garceau double and 2 runs. Firefighters: Karly Maratea 3 hits, Tyler Corrock 2 hits and 2 RBI, 2 hits each by Bryan Tuohy, Keith Potter, Linda McMahon and Chris Ward.

Color Haus 12, Magpie's 7

Unbeaten Color Haus (17 hits) surged ahead 9-2 with 9 hits in the first two innings, then added 2 insurance runs in the sixth sparked by an inside-the-park HR by Sarah Benson (2 hits, 3 runs). Color Haus: Jeff Schroeder 4 hits (HR, 2 doubles) and 3 runs, Josh Jacobson 4 hits (HR, double) and 2 runs, Jeff Burrell (double) and Twyla Bulcher 2 hits apiece. Magpie's: Danny Maloney double and 2-run HR, Shannon Flavin 2 doubles, Jay Peterson triple.

Casino 21, Firefighters 10

The undefeated Casino kept pace with Color Haus and set the stage for the July 15 clash between the league-leading teams. Casino (25 hits) broke open a 4-4 game with a 7-hit, 8-run third and added 6 runs on 7 hits in the sixth. Casino: Mark Belanger 4 hits (cycle) and 4 runs, Gretchen Wagner 2 hits and 2 runs, Nick Noty 4 hits (HR, 3 doubles) and 4 RBI, Craig Morse 3 hits (2 doubles), 3 runs and 3 RBI, Austin 4 hits (2 doubles, triple) and 3 runs, Matt Kendrick triple and double, Jill Morse 2 hits. Firefighters: Tyler Corrock 4 hits (triple, double) and 4 runs, Karly Maratea 2 hits (double), Matt Christian 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 RBI, Molly Finnegan 2 hits, Bryan Tuohy 2 runs, Keith Potter 3 hits (triple).

Principal Recruiting/Group Six 16, Elevate/Stafftopia 5

Principal (20 hits) picked up its first win of the season, scoring runs in each of its six at-bats highlighted by 3-run, 5-run and 4-run uprisings. Principal Recruiting: Richard Ulrich 4 hits and 3 runs, Kevin Garceau 3 hits (2 doubles), Jim Carlson 2 hits and 2 runs, Barclay Thompson 2 hits and 3 runs, Kellee Havens 2 hits. Elevate/Stafftopia: Dirk Zontag 4 hits (double, triple), Cooper Minnis 2 hits (triple), Liz Coughlin 2 runs.
