Casino 18, Magpie's 9

Casino improved to 3-0 and tied Color Haus for first place with a doubleheader sweep for the evening. But it looked like Magpie's early. They enjoyed a 6-run, 7-hit third for an 8-5 lead, then managed only 1 run and 5 hits the rest of the game. Casino batted around with an 8-run, 9-hit sixth to break it wide open. Casino: Matt Kendrick and Wade Port 3 hits (double) and 3 runs apiece, Nic Noty 4 hits (2 HR) and 8 RBI, Sarah 3 hits and 2 runs, Corey Allen 3 hits (double), Austin 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 runs. Magpie's: Sean Harrington 4 hits (2 HR, double) and 3 runs, Shannon Flavin 3 hits, Buddy Peterson 2 hits (double).

Color Haus 19, Elevate/Stafftopia 3 (5 innings)

Color Haus (24 hits) stayed unbeaten at 3-0 in the early going. The winners showed the strength of their batting order when the #5 through #10 hitters went 13-for-20 with 11 runs scored—led by Jeff Burrell (4 singles, 4 runs), M.J. Musselman (3 hits), John Rathfon (3 hits, double, HR, 3 runs) and Twyla Bulcher (2 hits, 3 runs). Color Haus: Bryan Burrell 3 hits (HR, double) and 3 runs, Sarah Benson 4 hits, Jeff Schroeder HR. Elevate/Stafftopia: Cooper Minnis 2-run HR, Travis Thelan 2 hits.

Magpie's 16, Firefighters 13

Magpie's (25 hits) won its first game by scoring in five of its six at-bats sparked by a 5-run, 8-hit first. Magpie's: Annie Byerley 3 hits and 3 runs, Lenny Joseph 2 hits and 3 runs, Sean Harrington 4 hits (cycle), 4 runs and 6 RBI, Amanda L. 4 hits and 2 runs, Shannon Flavin 3 hits and 2 runs, Molly McCready 3 hits, Buddy Peterson 3 hits (double). Firefighters: Karly Maratea 4 hits (double) and 3 runs, Matt Christian 4 hits (3 doubles) and 2 runs, Bryan Tuohy 2 doubles and 2 runs, Scott Lindquist 2 hits, Ed Binnie 2 hits (double).

Casino 9, Lefty's Bar & Grill 8

Trailing 6-2, Casino scored 7 runs on 9 hits in its final three at-bats and held Lefty's scoreless in the seventh inning—finishing the game on a 6-4-3 twin killing. Casino: Wade Port 2 hits (double), Craig Morse 3 hits and 2 runs, Corey Allen 3 hits (2 doubles). Lefty's: Wendy Speth, Ashley Bean and Chris Warrington (triple) 2 hits each, Anthony Anderson double and 2 runs.
