WRHS Player On All-Star Basketball Squad



Courtesy photo Wood River High School’s Kaitana Martinez was a key member of the Idaho Flash Freedom All-Star girls’ basketball team of incoming sophomores out of the Boise area. The team earned an impressive third place at the 16-team “End of the Trail” tournament in Oregon City, Ore., on June 27. They beat Newberg, Sacramento, and Oregon City for the honors. Four-sport Wood River athlete Martinez was named to the All- Tournament Team in addition to Vallivue’s Hannah Byerly. The team heads to Seattle July 9-13 for the MSNM Nationals. Kaitana has been invited to play up with the elite Junior-level Idaho Flash Spirit team for the MSNM Western Championships in late July at San Diego.
