A California woman suffered hip and pelvis injuries in a motorcycle-truck accident last week in Carey.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as 50-year-old Tyler Leigh Risk, of Santa Clara. The sheriff's office reported that Risk was knocked off a motorcycle and run over by the truck's trailer at the intersection of U.S. Highways 20 and 93 shortly before 3 p.m. last Thursday.

Sheriff's Lt. Jay Davis said the truck, driven by 28-year-old Joshua Williams, of Moore, was eastbound on Highway 20 and stopped at the intersection near the Castle Corner convenience store. Davis said Risk, who was with a group of motorcyclists, was also eastbound and pulled up behind Williams at the intersection.

"She evidently got impatient and pulled up beside him and when he started to make his left hand turn he hit the motorcycle and ran over her with the trailer," Davis said.

No citations were issued.

Risk was transported by Wood River Fire and Rescue ambulance to Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey. She was picked up there by emergency helicopter for transport to St. Luke's Boise Regional Medical Center.
