Wellness counselor Myra Lewin discovered a new life after a successful career in executive management and business consulting. When she left the corporate world, Lewin dedicated herself to yoga and Ayurevda, a form of alternative medicine that originated in India.
Lewin, who has 30 years of experience in nutrition and wellness, is the founder of Maui Yogi and Ayurevda at Hale Pule in Maui, Hawaii. She teaches Raja yoga and Ayurveda, as well as meditation and other practices for well-being.
Lewin will present and discuss her new book, "Freedom in Your Relationship with Food," at Light on the Mountains spiritual center south of Ketchum on Wednesday, July 1. She will also host a lecture and signing for her book at Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum on Sunday, July 5. The book focuses on breaking unhealthy eating cycles and gaining a greater respect for what people put in their bodies.
In addition, Lewin will conduct several classes in meditation and yoga throughout the valley during her visit.
Lewin conducts retreats in Maui and travels widely to lead workshops and teachings.
