The Back Alley Party at the Wicked Spud in Hailey is celebrating six years of free live music on Wednesday evenings. Weekly concerts start tonight and last through Wednesday, Aug. 26. The music will take place from 6-9:30 p.m. and will feature only headline bands.

"We are having one band a night except for Wednesday, June 22, which is a group of valley opening bands," said organizer Dana DuGan. "We will have raffle prizes because we are committed to our beneficiaries."

This year, the Back Alley Party series has a smaller schedule, starting in June instead of May, but the bands have been matched with suited beneficiaries. DuGan said the live music event was created six years ago to offer a venue for valley musicians.

"We have very talented musicians in the valley," DuGan said. "And everyone is always willing to support local charities. The benefit aspect is very important to me and the money the event makes goes right back into the valley."

The Back Alley Party at the Wicked Spud is a free and family fun evening in Hailey and features all local musicians. Food and beverages are offered. Kids are welcome to join their parents.

The Wicked Spud is located at 305 N. Main St.
