Bertram R. Bender

Bertram R. Bender was born on Jan. 20, 1934, and died peacefully at his home on June 14, 2009. He is survived by his daughter Justine M. Bennett, grandson Zachary A. Bennett, and sisters Alice Brezon and Helen Giss.

He was loved by so many and he will be missed. For those of you that know him, he would say to you, "There's no reason to grieve, my life was fan-bleeping-tastic, and my death was NBFD."

To honor him with the two things he enjoyed as much as life, there will be a memorial golf tournament and raging party in Bend, Ore., on Sunday, July 12, at the Bend Golf & Country Club.
