Fourth of July tennis coming to Sun Valley

Lyle Pearson USTA tourney set for July 3-5

Tournament director David Perry has announced the details of the Lyle Pearson Fourth of July Tennis Championships presented by Sun Valley Resort at Sun Valley Tennis Center.

The dates are Friday through Sunday, July 3-5, on the Sun Valley courts. Entry deadline is Tuesday, June 30. Cost is $35 per person for the first event and $25 for second and third event entries.

Offered are U.S. Tennis Association-sanctioned Open divisions, plus non-sanctioned divisions. The classes include men's and women's singles and doubles plus mixed categories. There will be cash prizes up to $400 based on draws of 16 or more, plus raffle prizes.

Sponsors are Sun Valley Resort, Lyle Pearson of Boise, Sturtevants Mountain Outfitters and Atkinsons' markets. The tournament is open to all ages and levels of play.
