Wonder of wonders, the Ketchum Coed Softball League sneaked between the raindrops Wednesday night and squeezed in the first slow-pitch games of the season at Atkinson Park's West Ketchum Coliseum.
Most exciting was Lefty's Bar & Grill rallying with four runs in the home seventh to nip Principal Recruiting/Group 6 by a score of 9-8. Anthony Anderson smacked his third double of the game for the game winner to finish the rally. Tom Moreland (four hits) led Group 6.
Leadoff hitter Bryan Burrell (three hits) sparked the 16-hit Color Haus attack in a 14-5 rout of the Firefighters. And, on the upper field, Casino slammed its way past Elevate/Stafftopia 16-1 in a run-rule shortened five frames.
