About 50 people gathered Saturday for the dedication of the first permanent art installation along the Fourth Street Heritage Corridor. The sculpture was created in memory of Randy Hess, a Ketchum resident and founder of White Otter Outdoor Adventures, who died last April in the Snake River Canyon below the Hansen Bridge near Twin Falls.

Bruce Smith, a nationally recognized, award-winning sculptor and friend of Hess', created the piece, titled "River Song." The sculpture is cast in bronze and is an abstract representation of the beauty and power of a wild river.

The sculpture can be seen at the corner of Fourth Street and Leadville Avenue, in front of Ozzie's Shoes and the Coffee Grinder.
