Drill's success has many sources

I would like to thank the Mountain Express for its article in the May 20 edition. It would appear that most of my comments are slanted to the law enforcement aspect of the drill, which is certainly not the fault of the author of the article.

I would like to publicly express my appreciation for the EMS/ambulance response and performance of the ambulance crews from Hailey, Ketchum, and Wood River Fire. These folks also had a monumental task to perform in a very trying environment. They had to treat, evaluate and evacuate wounded victims, which means carrying folks out of the building. Very hard work, and they did it in a minimal amount of time. My thanks to Chief Mike Chapman, Chief Mike Elle and Chief Bart Lassman for providing their professional crews for this much-needed drill. This community is indeed very well served.
