Camas County's State 1A third-place girls' track and field team dominated the berths on the Northside 2009 All-Conference track team announced this past week.
The "Coach of the Year" awards went to Candice Smith of Camas County for the girls and Lee Cook of Carey High School for the boys.
Here are the selections, by event:
Sprints (100m, 200m, 400m)—Girls: Mette Ericsson of Camas County and Micaela Adamson of Carey. Boys: Jaron Stoddard of Dietrich, Mickinzie Boggs of Camas County, Jacey Baird of Carey and Skiler Oliverson of Murtaugh.
Hurdles (100m, 110m, 300m)—Girls: ToniAnne Wear of Camas County and Jesse Dill of Dietrich. Boys: Humberto Pacheco of Murtaugh and Joe Laidlaw of Carey.
Distances (800m, 1600m, 3200m)—Girls: Amy Ellsworth of Carey and Ellie Dalton of Dietrich. Boys: G.W. Bailey and Scott Perron of Dietrich, and Antonio Gamino of Carey.
Jumps (high, long, triple)—Girls: Katelyn Peterson and Mette Ericsson of Camas County, and Amy Ellsworth of Carey. Boys: Mickinzie Boggs and Derek Walker, of Camas.
Field (shot, discus)—Girls: Emily Andrews of Carey and Jessica Flores of Dietrich. Boys: Jeff Ellingson of Camas County and Andrew Carlson of Carey.
