Girls On The Run 5k Brings Out A Crowd


A warm and sunny Saturday morning brought hundreds from the Wood River Valley to Hailey’s Lawrence Heagle Park in Della View Saturday, May 16, for the sixth annual New Balance Girls on the Run 5-kilometer Run/Walk and Healthy Living Expo. It was a happy and determined crowd at the start of the race, which was won by Colin Rodgers in a new course record of 16 minutes and 15 seconds. Other top men were David Lloyd (19:17) and Alfonso Andrade (19:27). The top women were Alexa Turzian (19:11), Nicole DeYong (19:50) and Rachel Wolfe (22:57). The fastest boy was Andrew Graves (24:00) and the fastest girl was Megan Downey (27:45).
