Sundali's the one

Rapturous praise, angry criticism, and—far too often—complacency and indifference about our schools—I've heard it all. I served on the district's Strategic Planning Committee and have spoken with many people about the state of our schools. I've thought hard about all I've heard, and have reached these conclusions: The strategic plan provides an exceptional opportunity for our schools to make huge strides toward excellence; the school board will play a critical role in making these vital changes happen; the best way we can help launch the process is to turn out in large numbers to re-elect Alex Sundali.

Hands down, Alex surpasses her opponent in measuring up to these important criteria for casting your vote: Alex shows breadth of vision. She sees beyond the agendas of specific, limited constituencies. She is sensitive to the needs and concerns of all segments of the community.

Alex possesses experience and judgment. She has been actively involved in the school system as teacher, parent and for the last six years as a board member and now chairwoman. She knows how the system works, how to get things done. She understands best practices in education and how they can lift us to excellence.

Alex is committed to transparency and accountability. She will reach out actively to the community, frame issues clearly and welcome feedback. She will be articulate and persuasive in explaining board choices.

Alex will be an inspiring leader. She is passionate about the strategic plan's vision of world-class schools for Blaine County. She is committed to mobilizing the community to support that vision, and energizing our corps of professional educators to take us there.

If you care about the future of our schools and our kids, vote for Alex Sundali.
