Spring in the Wood River Valley means celebratory performances for the Sun Valley Ballet School's hard-working students. In rehearsals since February, the ballet school is ready to share its accomplishments with the community in a Spring Showcase on Wednesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the door.

The Sun Valley Ballet School has over 135 students in attendance from ages 3 to adult. This year the 3-year-old students will perform on stage for the first time and could steal the entire showcase performance.

The senior company is dancing outside its traditional envelope and experimenting with modern, jazz and lyrical ballet. Senior company is a small but very talented group with Kelsey Brennan, Kathryn Caminiti and Nina Hirner. Debuting with the senior company are up-and-coming junior company dancers Bailey Cleven and Mariah Stout. For details call 726-9876.
