Keep our valley, highway clean

On Saturday, May 2, my husband and I volunteered to help clean Ketchum with Environmental Resource Center. It was a rainy day but several volunteers showed up and got the job done.

Many thanks to ERC for organizing the event every year and also a big thanks to Tom Nickel and the crew at the Roosevelt for serving all the volunteers such a great lunch afterwards. It was very rewarding to drive around town and notice clean streets and vacant lots.

Later that day, I had to drive to Hailey. I began to notice how littered our highway is between our towns. It would have been a great day for the organizations who have adopted a stretch of highway to have gotten out and done their highway cleanup. The only section that was cleaned was that of Sun Valley Title/Hailey Rotary Club, as you enter Hailey. Kudos to them. It looks great.

I would like to send out a challenge to the other "adopters" to get out as soon as possible to clean your section of Highway 75 so we can really be proud of a clean valley. Let's help keep our valley litter free.
