Last week's diatribe by the Mountain Express' paragon of fairness, Pat Murphy, is quite a turnaround from the eight years during which we endured the liberal chant that dissent is true patriotism.
Now that Republicans and conservatives are demonstrating, it is being called racism and crudely compared to a sexual act.
They are accused of needing anger management when there was no violence. They are accused of racism when they were protesting increased taxes. They are accused of cultural intoxication for meanness, smearing and thuggishness for demonstrating against the present government's policies.
Rational discussion is not allowed by these people. Everything they say or do is, ipso facto, unquestionably right and politically correct. Any dissent is intolerable and obviously the act of extremism.
And here I thought it was patriotism. Silly me.
