Tourists need cash

I am a Canadian (from Vancouver) who for the past 12 years has skied an average of 35 days per year in Sun Valley, the greatest ski area in the world. Although Sun Valley ticketing costs are extremely high, even for seniors and even with various ski pass programs, the terrain, ambiance and lack of crowds more than compensate for the costs.

But, to my astonishment this year, there was not a bank in Sun Valley or Ketchum that would exchange Canadian dollars. I can go anywhere in the world, including most places in the USA, and exchange Canadian dollars at a bank—but not in Sun Valley.

This lack of service is hardly conducive to tourism.
