Bike path safety

Now is the time, before it gets busier, for people who use the bike path to all come together and pay attention!

First of all, the usual courteous and safe thing to do is to pass in opposite directions single file. That's right, some of you Armstrong wanna-be's, it's not about you and your pack, or your conversation. Drop in and single up.

Walkers, take a look behind you once in a while, If you are side by side, glance back, a cyclist will come upon you quickly, and if you pay attention, you will hear and see them before they call out and startle you.

For the most part, everyone is great, but as is always the case, a few people set a bad example for others. It is a multiple-use path, so use it accordingly. If you think you are fast, ride north, otherwise move over, slow down when situations warrant and smell the cottonwoods.
