Meridian tops WR Warriors 14-6 in league lacrosse


Despite scoring in every quarter, the Wood River Warriors lacrosse team came out on the short end of the score in a Treasure Valley League game against Meridian at Mountain Home on Tuesday.

Meridian, also known as the Warriors, knocked off Wood River 14-6, jumping out to an 8-2 lead in the first half. Two players, Ryan McMillan and Erik Bouschulte, scored 4 goals each for the winning Warriors.

For Wood River, Robby Jost finished with 3 goals and 1 assist, Luke McNees 2 goals and 1 assist, and David Dredge 1 goal. Goalie Kasey Barker finished with 11 saves.

Wood River hosts Capital of Boise in Hailey tomorrow, Saturday, April 25. Game time is 2 p.m. on the field south of the Community Campus.
