Aye to merger analysis

Maurice Charlat's excellent April 10 letter regarding the need for professional analysis of the financial, administrative and emergency requirements of a consolidated Sun Valley/Ketchum hit the nail on the head, as did his support for a city manager form of government.

The full-page ad by the One Community, One Town organization, also in the April 10 paper, similarly called for independent analysis along with open, objective debate. While personally I have doubts that consolidation is appropriate at this time, I do feel an objective, independent analysis is needed to offset the emotion, rancor and personal attacks that have beset both sides of this issue.
