Wood River pacer sets new mark at Buhl Rotary track meet

Wood River senior Delaney Fox had a banner day on the track at the Buhl Rotary Invitational Friday. Fox was one of five athletes to set a new meet record, and her time of 47.03 in the 300-meter hurdles was the second-fastest 4A time in the state, just a hair off Lakeland senior Camille Reynolds' time of 46.5.

Fox also won the 100-meter dash in 12.6 seconds to tie for fourth place in the state standings, according to Athletic.net, a division of IdahoSports.com.

Dale McLaughlin won the boys' pole vault, clearing 12 feet, 6 inches. He is in a three-way tie for fifth in the 4A standings. Rigby has three out of four at the top of the rankings, including Curtis Peterson who currently owns the high mark of 14-feet. James Paris ran to second place in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:46. He was right behind Burley's David Fillmore in 4:44 and the pair is eighth and tenth in the state standings.

Next up for the local thinclads in the Minico Invitational at Rupert on Friday, April 24.
