Lace 'em up for summer puck

In a matter of nine months, winter makes room for spring, which yields to summer, and it is the same for the hockey season in Sun Valley.

Registration is under way for the Adult Summer League, which begins play on June 9 and runs through Sept. 10 on the Sun Valley Resort ice. Each team will play 14 games, either on Tuesday or Thursday nights. Game times are 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and 8 p.m. Thursdays.

The cost is $150 per person. Payment will be due prior to the draft on June 3.

Only 78 players will be allowed, creating six teams of 13 players each. Youth players ages 14-18 are allowed to skate if they sign up with an adult teammate.

To register, e-mail Nicole Perkins at npsv@cox.net, or phone 726-7767.

· In other hockey news, Open Hockey will continue on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. through the first week of June.
