Two in a row for Warriors

Lacrosse team comes out firing


For the second straight game, senior David Dredge scored three goals to help propel the Wood River Warriors lacrosse team to victory.

Playing Vallivue at Mountain Home Tuesday, the Warriors stepped out with a three-goal first quarter, but Vallivue scored one goal in the second quarter and three in the third to tie the game at 4-4. Undeterred, the Warriors answered with another trio of goals in the final frame to win 7-5. Wood River put 25 shots on net, while the Falcons lofted 13. WR goalie Kasey Barker came up with eight saves.

Luke McNees scored two goals for Wood River. Tracy Bailet and Tanner Marcoullier added one goal apiece.

On tap for the Warriors:

· Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m., Skyview hosts WR in Nampa.

· Tuesday, April 21, at 6 p.m., WR hosts Meridian in Mountain Home.

· Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m., WR hosts Capital of Boise in Hailey.
