Here, 17-year-old Sterling Crescimanno of Killington, Vt. takes flight en route to second place in the 30-skier men’s dual moguls ladder. Crescimanno placed second overall in the 2009 Freestyle Junior Olympics during March at Waterville Valley.

Nearly 70 freestyle skiers including some of the most promising U.S. youngsters in moguls, halfpipe and slopestyle came to Sun Valley Resort last weekend for the fourth annual "Coleman Open" Thursday through Sunday, April 2-5 on Baldy.

The Sun Valley Freestyle and Freeride team contributed nearly half of the field, and many won classes.

In Saturday's single moguls, for instance, Sun Valley alumni Austin Bourret and Aunika Phillips placed third overall and won their classes, as did Kali Phillips, Brody Buchwalter, Jamie Rollerson and Isabella Bourret.

Wing Tai Barrymore and Colter Brehmer were second and third overall in Friday's halfpipe, wile Zana Davey and Renee Shapiro were second and fourth. Brehmer was the outright men's winner in Thursday's slopestyle, with Barrymore third, and Shapiro took fourth overall.

Winning Sunday's dual moguls ladder were Park City's Ryan Koemans over Sterling Crescimanno, 17, of Killington, Vt., and Squaw Valley's K.C. Oakley, 20, of Piedmont, Ca. over Ali Kariotis of Squaw Valley.

In the 20-woman dual ladder, Aunika Phillips placed fourth while Sun Valley F2 Zana Davey was seventh over F1 Kali Phillips. Placing fifth of 30 among the men was Austin Bourret, and Kurtis Fieguth seventh.
