This year's program will encourage attendees to green up their lives and get on the social media bandwagon. Other topics of interest will include new research findings about the Idaho traveler presented by Longwood's Research, as well as some of the latest trends in travel.

State develops new marketing video

The Idaho Department of Commerce has released a new video to spur economic development. The video will be used to recruit companies to the state and help international investors have a better idea of Idaho's assets.

"We want to round out the image people have of Idaho and help them discover the reason this state has topped a number of national rankings for business and entrepreneurial growth," said department Director Donald Dietrich.

The video showcases a couple of new, large energy manufacturers that recently announced moves to Idaho because of its business-friendly practices.

But the video's not all about work. Numerous activities are highlighted, including performing arts, fly fishing and mountain biking. The video shows that Idaho is a good place to live and play, at affordable costs—and that makes it a welcoming place for current and new employees.
