Beware politicians bearing gifts

Though they aren't Greeks, beware of two Ketchum and Sun Valley councilmen bearing gifts of city consolidation. They are rolling the Trojan Horse to the gates of Sun Valley.

Though consolidation of Ketchum and Sun Valley is being presented as homilies of simple pleasant cooperation and coordination of the two cities into creating a single, new, larger city, the devil is in the details as is the dynamite-wrapped Jihadist strolling into a crowded mall.

Idaho laws for city consolidation are being used for the seemingly innocuous petitioning forcing a vote in each city on whether a consolidation should take place. Not publicized by the consolidationists is the fine print of those laws and subsequent dynamite actions if a vote should establish consolidation.

Sun Valley residents and property owners take note and gasp! Here are your immediate burdens and destiny in consolidation with Ketchum. So the laws mandate.

The largest-population city shall dominate. The new city shall be named Ketchum. Sun Valley government shall cease to exist. Ketchum government shall immediately govern the single new city. All Sun Valley ordinances and laws shall be immediately repealed. All Ketchum ordinances and laws shall be immediately effective over the terminated Sun Valley and the enlarged Ketchum. Months later, a new mayor and city council for the enlarged Ketchum will be elected by a vote dominated by the much larger population of the original Ketchum. Ketchum has annexed Sun Valley.

State laws mandate this! The Trojan Horse is wheeling toward Sun Valley.
