Live entertainment never takes a break in the Wood River Valley. Today enjoy après ski with live music by Joe Cannon at the Roosevelt Grille in Ketchum from 4-7 p.m.
The Sun Valley Boiler Room's 2009 Winter Comedy Series continues and will feature Lachlan Patterson and Cary Cannon on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a $10 cover, $3 off with a current Sun Valley ski pass or lift ticket. At 9 p.m. on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, enjoy live music by Lip Service at 9 p.m. with a $10 cover charge. In addition, Lip Service will play the Warm Springs Lodge through March 21 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. A special guest performance by the Disciples of Rock, a local kids' band, will take place on Saturday, March 14.
The Boiler Room features the Fabulous Vuarnettes every Thursday with a $15 cover. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Forever Plaid plays every Sunday in the Boiler Room for $12. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. For details call 622-2135.
The Silver Dollar in Bellevue will feature live music by Mark Slocum on Friday, March 13, at 9 p.m. as well as karaoke at 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. Papa Hemi's Hideaway in Ketchum will also feature live music with the Kim Stocking Band on Friday, March 13, and Four Stroke Bus on Saturday, March 14, from, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The Hailey Hotel will host live music by the Swampcats on Friday, March 13, from, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The Webb Winter Concert series at "Irving's Hill" in Ketchum will present the 812 Band from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
Hailey's Main Street Bistro (formerly the Red Elephant Saloon) will host a "grand reappearance" of Salem, a funk, Afro-Cuban jazz and hip-hop band from Boulder, Colo., on Saturday, March 14, for $10. The show is set for 9 p.m. For details, call 720-1791.
