Sweetheart Night for the Suns

Benefit for Girls on the Run

The Sun Valley Suns senior men's ice hockey team will resume its 2008-09 season—and its full slate of community benefits—when the Missoula (Mont.) Cutthroats visit Feb. 13-14 for Valentine's Day weekend.

Girls on the Run, a recreational and self-esteem-building group devoted to local young women, will accept all ticket proceeds from Saturday's game starting at 7 p.m. at Sun Valley Skating Center. And there will be a special raffle drawing.

During Saturday's game, a drawing will be held for a set of Sun Valley Center for the Arts Summer Concert Series tickets, or two single-day passes to the Sun Valley Food and Wine Festival scheduled for June 12-14.

You can purchase your raffle tickets Friday, Feb. 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Atkinsons' in Hailey, or on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. at Atkinsons' in Ketchum. Cost is $5 for a single raffle ticket, or five for $20. Or e-mail to purchase some raffle tickets.

Friday night's Suns game at 7 p.m. will also be a benefit, for Wood River Youth Football.

The Suns (5-5) have enjoyed a couple of weekends off and will resume the second half of their season schedule against Missoula, a team Sun Valley has beaten 8-3, 4-3, 12-11 and 8-3 over the past two seasons.
