Flat Out Ridiculous, others led Town Series

Cozy series takes a three-week break

After Wednesday's gate fun on Baldy's Cozy ski run, three teams are tied for the lead as the 18th annual Sun Valley Town Series now takes a three-week break from its dual modified giant slalom racing.

Flat Out Ridiculous, Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and Wood River Masonry are where they want to be, at the 0.00 point level after three weeks of competition. Right behind in fourth place is Gratefull Shred (0.03), and Tekasoreass (0.15) is lodged in fifth.

On Flat Out Ridiculous are Mike Gowe, Meg Vorm, Erik Vorm and Tucker Hall. The SVSEF skiers are Nate Schwing, Erika Hogan, Sarah Mazzola and Ashley Brown. On Wood River Masonry are Sean Higgins, Wes Powell, Jon McCuskey and Cam Fraser.

Clocking fastest single runs Wednesday were Schwing 23.71 seconds, Higgins 24.02, Carl Rixon Jr. 24.24, Powell 24.32, Vinnie Dinapoli 24.60, Randy Flood 24.77, Matt Murphy 24.80, John Campbell 25.19, Brett Jacobson 25.29 and Erika Hogan 25.30.

Alan Durkheimer of Rainbown Warriors had the "rabbit" time of 31.07 seconds.

The series resumes Wednesday, Feb. 25 with one of only two combined two-run formats. That party on Feb. 25 will be at The Cellar in Ketchum.
