Support health freedom and awareness

By MOLLY BROWN

Rates of diabetes and cancer are predicted to reach epidemic proportions in the next 10 years, increasing and afflicting as much as 80 percent of the population. This demands attention, action and commitment to providing safe and healthy food and topsoil for future generations. Some would say it is a direct result of tampering with our food supply with pesticides, genetically modified organisms, overconsumption of corn, soy and canola oil, domination of agribusiness by companies such as Monsanto, and false labeling and suppression of information by the USDA.

President Obama's inauguration brought hope and the promise of investments in alternative energy, health care and healing of the earth and our war-torn planet. However, he appointed Tom Vilsack as secretary of the Department of Agriculture. According to Ronnie Cummins, executive director of the Organic Consumers Association, Vilsack is also a supporter of the extremely controversial bioparmaceutical crops, "which involves pharmaceutical drugs or industrial chemicals into food crops."

Cummins started an online campaign at stopvilsack.org so that organic consumers and sustainable-minded Americans can respond.

"We don't need these biofuels," he said. "We don't need genetically engineered crops. We need to take the climate crisis, the public health crisis, the food crisis seriously and do something about it."

The assumption that the government is here to protect our food and our health is not always correct. Health freedom laws would require that all genetically modified food would need to be labeled. Health freedom also means freedom from coerced or mandatory vaccinations, involuntary experimentation of foster children, prisoners and civilian population, chemtrail spraying, and human or animal chipping.

To eliminate toxins from genetically modified foods, eat all-natural and organic foods grown locally. Avoid canola and cottonseed oil. Avoid aspartame. Visit truefoods.org for the extensive list of foods and brand names that contain GMOs. Most importantly, take health freedom seriously by supporting local, organic agriculture and fight laws that restrict our freedom. We seem to have strayed from basic wholesome food as a nation, swayed by advertising, agribusiness and chemical companies. Through proper nutrition, we can and will bring our bodies and planet back into a state of health from the imbalance of disease and sickness.

Most people I know want to feel energetic, happy and pain free. I have over and over seen beautiful transformations by simply improving diet and supporting our bodies properly. We can provide this for ourselves if we approach nutrition consciously. We need to care of ourselves enough that we do not buy processed foods, but make food our priority and spend money on organic food that is mineralized, free of toxins that destroy our nervous systems, and safely grown. We can try new recipes, use antioxidant potent herbs in foods, and make fresh, vibrant food our priority. A clean and healthy body will lead to a clean and clear mind. A clear mind will lead to happiness, loving relationships and abundance in all areas of our lives.
