NOTES—All three Moose goals tonight came on the power play. For the season, Suns opponents are 10-for-43 (24%) on the power play and the Suns are 6-for-46 (13%)……In contrast, last season the Suns were 26% on the power play and opponents 21%…..With the game tied 3-3 after Adam Swain’s unassisted goal, Paul Baranzelli hit the post on a slapshot from the point. Four minutes later, Baranzelli put another, slower shot on net from the right point. This time Cody “Roddy” Proctor snuck out from behind goalie Dan Amborski and one-timed the puck, with a swooping backhand, over the Moose goalie’s shoulder for the game winner…..John Stevens of the Suns had nothing but good things to say after the game about the clutch goal-scoring efforts of youngsters Taylor Rothgeb and Cody Proctor. Stevens also praised the marvelous goaltending of Ryan Thomson (“a total roll, kicking up,” said Stevens). Stopping all 14 Moose shots in the final stanza, Thomson at one point in the pivotal third period made a Hasek-like save on dangerous Moose center Joe Casey, the all-time Moose leading scorer who played in Texas for the CHL Rio Grande Killer Bees a couple of years ago…..SV forward lines were Ryan Enrico-Jamie Ellison-Vilnis Nikolaisons, Cody Proctor-John Stevens-Blake Jenson, Adam Swain-Billy Tryder-Taylor Rothgeb, and Charles Friedman-Jon Duval-Spencer Brendel. Defensemen were Paul Baranzelli, Ivars Muzis, Matt Alloway, Chris Warrington and Eric Demment.
