New Arrival

Proud parents Amanda Black and Mark Breen beam radiantly over their new son, Harrison Van Lear Breen, on Sunday. Little Harrison was the first local baby born at St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center in 2009. Weighing in at eight pounds, one ounce, and 21 inches long with quite big feet, Harrison arrived in this world at 8:57 p.m., Friday, Jan. 2, via caesarian delivery by Doctors Kathryn Woods and Richard Paris. “The hospital staff and specifically the Mother/Baby Unit are awesome,” Mark Breen said. “We are overjoyed with the quality and the support we have received.” Dad also stated that his son was already a Boston Red Sox fan.
