Murphy’s low road

You just have to love Pat Murphy's reasoning.

Last week he accused President Bush and Vice President Cheney of dividing the country.

It seems to me, that in the last eight years, it was Mr. Murphy and most of the mainstream media, the leadership of the Democratic Party, academia and that hotbed of intellectual thought, Hollywood, that have accused the president and vice president of every crime short of pederasty and called them just about every printable epithet.

I would defy Mr. Murphy to cite one instance in which either of the above gentlemen uttered one public denouncement of the rabble that have so viciously attacked them.

You most certainly can disagree with their policies, but to curse the individuals from a distance and refuse to engage in a responsible argument and then blame the lack of comity on the other guy is the height of chutzpah.

Any time you have a doubt about who has taken the low road, read Mr. Murphy's past columns.
