Robert John Foster, 75, passed away Dec. 22, 2008, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. Robert passed from complications of a stroke.
Robert was born March 22, 1933, in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Shortly after graduating high school, he moved to California where he met his wife, Karen. Robert and Karen were married Aug. 24, 1952. Shortly after, Robert was drafted by the U.S. Army in 1953 and served in the Korean War.
Robert and Karen resided in California until 1998. They then moved to Hailey, Idaho. Robert was actively involved with the Blaine County Senior Connection and was a devoted member of CalvaryBibleChurch. Robert knew no strangers. He was a very friendly and outgoing person.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife, Karen Foster, of 56 wonderful years; his son, Michael Foster; daughter, Kelley Herrera; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his faithful companion Duke, his dog. He will be greatly missed but remembered, always, in our hearts.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the CalvaryBibleChurch with Pastor Ron Brown officiating.
