Up and Running

Since 1947, people have been skiing down Rotarun Mountain, west of Hailey. This year proved to be no different as 80 people showed up Saturday for the season opening and free ski day. The annual opening is called the Art Richards Memorial Day. Richards was a local retired dentist who was a major benefactor to the ski area. Head ski patrolman Scott Wesley helps Hailey skier Andrew Nelson load Rotarun’s Poma lift. Wesley has worked at Rotarun for eight years and has been a ski patrolman for over 40 years.
