Christmas Classic returns Saturday

Nordic racing at Lake Creek

Part of its holiday ritual every year, the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation's Junior Nordic ski team is staging the Christmas Classic cross-country ski races on Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Lake Creek trail system three miles north of Ketchum.

The public and citizen racers are welcome to participate. It's the only Nordic racing event on this year's local holiday schedule.

Registration occurs at Lake Creek on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. with classical racing at 11 a.m. Course distances are 5 kilometers for women, 10k for men, and 1k, 2k and 3k for kids and younger skiers.
